Escamillo and Carmen declare their vow of love in this short but lovely duet. Frasquita and Mercédès then warn Carmen that Don José is hiding in the crowd and that she could be in danger.
This song starts with four diminuendo notes from the 1st horn that connect it seamlessly with the preceding march of toreadors. It ends rather abruptly leading into the long finale duet for Carmen and Don José which will be made available separately.
